Sometimes choosing a counsellor can be a difficult task.  One of the most important aspects in counselling is the therapeutic alliance.  Trust and comfort are essential for a positive working relationship.  Please take some time to look through this website to see if we might be a good fit.

I provide confidential and private counselling services to persons aged 13+ who are looking to face their life challenges and move forward.  Examples of presenting concerns include:

  • anxiety
  • depression
  • self-esteem
  • self-harm (cutting)
  • body image
  • weight management
  • substance misuse (addiction)

I incorporate a range of therapy orientations into practice, such as Adlerian theory, Cognitive-Behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, neurobiology, and solution-focused therapy.  I provide a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment in which clients can explore their personal challenges and difficulties.  I have worked in high school settings in addition to day and residential addiction programs.  I have also provided workshops on a variety of topics including stress management, addiction, suicide, sexual exploitation, and controlling your inner chatter. I received my M.A. degree from the Adler School of Professional Psychology and a Doctorate of Psychology from California Southern University. I am registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.  I have a special interest in working with emotional dysregulation, non-suicidal self-injury, and physical activity as it relates to mental health.
